Hello all:
After much deliberation, I have decided to keep a blog (against my better judgement) during my much anticipated and fast approaching Gap Year. It would appear this may be the easiest way for me to let friends & family - &, rather worryingly, any randomers who may come across this blog whilst surfing - know what I am getting up to on my travels without having to say everything 50 odd times, which would get rather dull for me!
Just so that you are 'in the know'...

My itinerary for the following year, as it stands, is this:
- Sep 1st - Dec 15th = Teaching English in a Language School in Wuhu, China just an hour's train journey outside of Shanghai. I may also be traveling around China for a week or so in October during the school's half term.
- Jan - Feb (ish) = possibly living on the coast of Tanzania & carrying out Marine Conservation there, however, I am still finding out details and this is only a maybe at the moment
- Feb - May (ish) = working for one of my dad's friends in Sydney, Australia & generally partying in the summer sun. I may also travel around Australia during May visiting other friends.
- After this is a bit of a blur at the moment, possibly spending a month or two in Latin America learning Spanish & either teaching English or working in rural villages doing whatever the program has lined up for that month. I'm hoping to stop off in the US as well, possibly visit friends & finally spend a few days in New York - somewhere I've wanted to go ever since I was around 8 year old.
So, without further ado, I must exchange life in Britain just as the sun is beginning shine (typical) for strangers, rice... lots of rice, & smog... hmm, sounds enticing!
Wish me luck!
